Michael serves as Acting Chief Business Officer of Glafabra Therapeutics, where he leads partnering and business development for the Live-cel platform. He was most recently Vice President, Corporate Liaison at Kyowa Kirin, and before that Director of Business Development at the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, where he headed the business development, IP and legal teams. Earlier he consulted through his own firm, Peapod Consulting, and served as VP Business Development and Licensing at Oxford Gene Technology and VP Sales and Marketing at Molecular Sensing. He holds a DPhil in Molecular Endocrinology from the University of Oxford and a BSc (Hons) in Biology from the University of the West of Scotland. He brings an insider's view of how large pharma evaluates autologous HSC gene therapy, including the lentiviral manufacturing and CDMO landscape, and at Glafabra he leads engagement with strategic partners, shapes deal structure, and advises on manufacturing partner selection.
